Thrifty Finds: Back to School Edition

As Staples says, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” With that being said, why should school supply shopping had to be expensive and boring? There are so many back to school specials going on in which I am currently taking advantage of and I wanted to share a bunch of them with all of you! (& in-store) .10¢ Composition Notebooks

Staples is currently selling their composition notebooks for $1 each.  If you add $5 to your shopping cart whether online or in-store, the composition notebooks will be reduced to just .10¢ each! (limit 3 per customer)

I recently purchased Crayola colored pencils and markers for just $2 each during a random promotion they were having! Be sure to keep checking for the newest money-saving offers.

Office Depot “$1 Deals” (online & in-store)

Office Depot has made it easier than ever to shop all things back to school.  Not only does Office Depot have a “$1 Deal” section, but if you shop on, they have broken all supplies down by grade! Printable Coupons

This is just one of the many reasons I love Target.  Target is offering online coupons, available for print for use in store.  There are coupons for Crayola, Lunchables, Kraft String Cheese, and other great products to make school supply shopping and lunch making super easy.

Bed, Bath, & Beyond’s Campus & Beyond

Bed, Bath, & Beyond has always been a go to store for all thrifty college finds. Their “Campus & Beyond” section is full of affordable offers for sleep, wash, organization, and other great dorm products.  If you visit a Bed, Bath, & Beyond in your area, don’t forget the coupons!’s “Back to School Value Bundles”

Walmart, you’re a genius!  Walmart has bundled back to school favorites from brands like Crayola, Elmer’s, Pilot, Sharpie, and so many other great companies, to creating these awesome value bundles guaranteed to help you save money.  To check out the bundles, click here!

Kmart’s Back to School Layaway Program “Back to School/ Back to Campus 2012″

Kmart, your another favorite.  Kmart’s *In-Store Only* Layaway Program helps you purchase great back to school supplies.  From now until August 25th, you can earn %5 off your layaway purchase.  Click here to see how.  From supplies, to clothes and accessories, Kmart makes it easy to get your children prepped for school! If you decided to make your purchases online, use the code: KMARTBTS2 for 10% off purchases $59 or more! Offer ends August 20, 2012.

Kmart is also currently offering a free downloadable checklist for your child’s back to school needs.  Click here to check it out!

I have always believed that with the right school supplies and accessories you can inspire kids of all ages to work a little harder.

If you know of any other deals and offer’s for back to school supplies that I have not mentioned, feel free to comment below!  Your comment will be added to the post!

The Brands We Love: The Shops at Target

The Shops

Target was genius when they put together this collaboration of shops that are unique, inspiring, and affordable.  The Shops at Target gives you the best of what Connecticut, Miami, Aspen, San Fransisco, & Boston, has to offer, right in your hometown.

On May 6th, Target introduced “The Shops”, a new design program that offers limited edition collections from 5 stores Target “stumbled upon and couldn’t help but fall in love with”.

Polka Dog Bakery (Boston), The Candy Bar (San Fransisco), The Webster (Miami), Privet House (Connecticut), and The Cos Bar (Aspen), have all been chosen to join The Shop’s.

Target has always believed in offering great design with affordable pricing, so I was very excited to hear about this program!

Check out the video below to learn more about the awesomeness that is Target’s “The Shops“.

So, what do think? Will you will be heading to your nearest Target store for any of these collections in the future?  If you’ve already stopped into Target for one of these collections, what did you think?  All comments welcome!
