This month’s category: ALL BAKED DESSERT ITEMS!
For those of you joining the bake-off for the first time, welcome! For my returning A Lot on Your Plater’s, thanks so much for returning and welcome back!
Okay, so the A Lot on Your Plate “Use What You’ve Got Bake-off” is back and I am doing something a little differently this time around. In the past there were specific categories for each bake-off, but to honor the new year, I am doing something new myself. The category this month is ANY BAKED DESSERT ITEM. This can range anywhere from cakes and cookies to pies and other baked dessert goodies!
There are TONS of extremely talented bakers, chef’s and cooks (beginners & pros), all over the world and you all deserve to be recognized!
If you are not familiar with my previous bake-offs, check out the details below!
Here’s how it works: Simply, leave a comment on the A Lot on Your Plate Bake-off post (click here to be directed to the entry page!) with a link to one of your new or old recipe posts that you have chosen to enter into the bake-off. The recipes entered will be judged on simplicity (prep time, active time, ingredients, etc…) and the photo of the finished product, itself. The recipe will NOT be based on the quality of the photo. (1) winner will be chosen, but all will be recognized. The winning recipe will be posted on ALotonYourPlate.com in its entirety, photos, text, links and all. The baker will be notified via post and email and will receive a prize hand-picked by your’s truly. All bloggers that submit a recipe will be acknowledged in the winner’s post with a link to their recipe entered, minus the photos and the prize.
The beauty of this bake-off is that it’s ”use what you’ve got”. I realize that people live busy lives and might not have the time to bake a new recipe from scratch for a bake-off, so you are more than welcomed to use one of your previous recipe posts to enter (or whip up a brand new one if you feel up to it and have the time).
Again, to enter: Leave a comment on ALotOnYourPlate.com with a link to one of your recipe posts past or present. The recipe MUST be your own and not a re-blog.
The contest will run for 3 weeks (January 22. 2013). Again, the recipes will be judged on the simplicity of the recipe and the photo of the finished product supplied, NOT the quality of the photo, itself.
Be sure to have fun with this, you have nothing to lose, just acknowledgment to gain!
